Megan Gilbert said her favorite book is one her mom read to her at bedtime as a kid.

Name: Megan Gilbert Year: Junior Major: History Hometown: El Segundo, Calif. Sign: Pisces Claim to fame: First LMU student to join Facebook.

1. What made you jump on the Facebook train so quickly?

One of my friends went to Columbia -- Facebook started out to be at the more elite schools, the bigger schools -- and she talked about how cool it was. She thought Mark Zuckerberg was God.

You can keep in contact with friends from high school, and you can keep in contact with friends in clubs, classes, whatever. I thought I'd sign up; I figured LMU had it, but we didn't, so I had to change that. I had to keep requesting to have Loyola go on [the network].

2. What do you think of the Facebook redesign?

I'm not gonna lie, at first I hated it. I was like gasping, "Wow, horrible." But, after thinking about it I came to the conclusion that it's not that bad. The information that they have is already public as it is, so people could find it anyway. I think it could be a lot better if people had the option of turning it off maybe or selecting certain things to be on the news feed.

3. On your facebook profile, it says that you "failed at the 100 friend count." What's that all about?

I used to have a lot of friends, random people who would just friend me and I'd say, "OK I have no idea who you are." And then I tried to be peerist and try to narrow it down to people that I actually knew and saw on a regular basis. And that became too hard, so now I have like 120.

4. Tell me something interesting or quirky that's on your Facebook profile.

My picture is pretty quirky. It's a picture from when I was like eight and I was a Brownie Girl Scout.

5. What's the craziest thing you've ever done on a dare?

Skinny dipping.

6. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to do?

Deciding where I was going to apply for school. I only really applied to schools around here. I actually wanted to go to UCLA, but I tore my ACL, so I couldn't. I was going to play soccer. I didn't apply anywhere outside of 20 minutes away, really. I'm really close to my sister, and it was pretty hard. I really wanted the college experience.

7. If your life were a movie, what would the title be?

"The Klutz." I fall down a lot. Yesterday, on the way to class, I fell down the stairs in McKay, and I couldn't make it to U-Hall. 8. Which cartoon character are you most like?

I don't know if I'm most like her, but my favorite character is Mulan. I've liked that movie as long as I can remember. Anytime someone asks, "What's your favorite movie?" I'm like, "Mulan!" It just sticks with you. It's great. It's a classic.

9. When you were a kid, what was your favorite book?

I liked this one book called "I'll Always Love You." My mom would read it to me before I went to bed. It's this really corny book about this mom that always sings her little boy to sleep, and then when she gets old the boy sings her to sleep.

10. What's your favorite song to sing in the shower?

Kelly Clarkson, "Since You've Been Gone."

11. If you could go back in time through your experiences at LMU, what would you want to relive or change?

I think freshman year. I went home a lot because I live just five minutes away, and I wish I would have stayed a little bit more on the weekends.

BONUS QUESTIONS:

12. What's on your iPod right now?

A lot of country: Tim McGraw, Faith Hill. Some other random things. Steve introduced me to Guster.

13. Do you spend a lot of time on facebook?

I knew you'd ask this. Yea, I spend a lot of time on facebook…Like everybody.
