About Us

Your home. Your voice. Your news. The Los Angeles Loyolan is LMU's student-run news organization, publishing new content online multiple times a week. The Los Angeles Loyolan is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press and the California College Media Association.

The Loyolan's core values are accuracy, responsibility, and relevancy. We are dedicated to keeping the LMU community informed about what's happening on and off campus.

Now in its 99th year, the Loyolan continues to publish award-winning content about the LMU community, covering news, sports, life + arts and social justice, as well as providing opinion and satire. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter to make sure you never miss content from us.

Apart from producing content, the Loyolan sponsors 60 Second Lectures (an annual event during which speakers give minute-long lectures, followed by a Q&A) and First Amendment Week (an annual event that has hosted speakers such as Monica Lewinsky, Jesse Williams, and America Ferrera in the past).
