Blackhawk Country Club

After three days of play in the West Coast Conference (WCC) Championships at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, California, the LMU men’s golf team concluded its season on Wednesday in eighth place. The Lions finished with a team score of 24 over par.

Saint Mary’s College finished in first place, taking the title with a team score of 25 under par. The Lions finished in last place the first day with 297 points and struggled to recover for the remainder of the tournament. Tuesday was not much better when Lions found themselves scoring 304 points and ending at the bottom of the pack. The team salvaged the last day of the tournament when they scored 287 points, which helped the Lions surge ahead Pacific University to finish in second-to-last place.

Individually, senior Connor Campbell finished with the highest score for the Lions with 221 points, tying for 20th place overall. His strong performance on Tuesday helped him to finish five over par for the tournament. Senior Braden Baer finished with 223 points, tying for 24th place overall.
