LMU students weigh in on new jerseys.

This summer, LMU Athletics unveiled new uniforms for the upcoming fall sports season. The new uniforms feature the University's new athletic logo and spirit mark, which was implemented in late March of this past spring. Gersten Pavillion, the home court of the volleyball and basketball teams, was also re-designed. We asked students on campus about their thoughts on these changes.

"I love how LMU is revamping the designs, starting off with a fantastic court and jerseys. The lion [spirit mark] could use a lot of work, however, in my opinion. The previous lion was a much better fit for the school."

-Evan Yamamoto, sophomore civil engineering major

"The new colors are the best part [of the jerseys]. I like how much brighter they are; they really catch the eye and look great on sports uniforms. Bright and vibrant uniforms are definitely an advantage."

-Max Himmelright, sophomore political science major

"I’m always going to miss the classic look of the darker colors, but I will admit the new look is growing on me. The court looks amazing and I love the way they incorporated palm trees to give it that L.A./Bluff feel."

- Madison Reynolds, junior journalism major
