Women’s volleyball will head to Dayton, Ohio this weekend where they will participate in the University of Dayton Invitational, before returning to California to start West Coast Conference (WCC) play. The Lions swept Harvard and Duke 3-0 over the weekend and fell 3-0 to Long Beach State University.

The Golf team heads north for the beginning of the week as they compete in the University of San Fransisco Olympic Invitational. LMU alumnus and new head coach, Jason D'Amore ('08), will be starting his first season with the Lions in San Francisco.

Men’s soccer will make a quick trip down the freeway this Wednesday to face off against UC Irvine and then head back home to play CSU Bakersfield on Sunday at 4 p.m. on Sullivan Field. Over the weekend they lost one game to Sacramento State University 1-0 and defeated UC Davis 2-0.

After a wild weekend of scoring, the Lions will face Texas Tech at home on Friday as they attempt to keep their Sullivan Field winning streak alive. The women’s soccer team defeated Saint Francis University 7-0 Sunday.

The cross country team will face off in the WCC preview in San Diego this Saturday. The men’s team finished first in Mark Covert Classic and is ranked No. 6 in a WCC preseason poll. The women’s team finished in third at the same tournament and is ranked No. 5 in the same poll.

Men’s Water Polo
Men’s water polo will take on both UC Irvine and Pepperdine this Saturday in the Conference Challenge Cup at Burns Rec. The team won one game against Occidental College over the weekend 18-6 and also lost one to Whittier College 8-7.
